BC gov’t unveils campaign to create awareness on racism
Posted on March 19, 2021
None of us are individually responsible for systemic racism, but we all have a part to play in confronting it. That’s what being anti-racist means: opposing racism and promoting a society that is thoughtful, inclusive and just. And to do this, we need to also examine our own personal biases and prejudices, including those we might not even be aware of.
Being anti-racist takes work. But it’s worth it. To support you on your journey, nine talented artists have created beautiful and impactful illustrations for a series of Anti-racism Reminders. This series takes us through acknowledging systemic racism, confronting racism in ourselves and in others, dispelling myths, moving forward when we stumble, and the importance of dialogue and education.

We hope this campaign helps you to see things in a different light and spur conversations at home, at work and all the places needed to create a better and safer B.C. for everyone.
