The Family Education & Support Centre has been working with the community for 49 years. It has been part of the leadership team in the development of the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Community Network, the Ridge Meadows Community Children’s Table, the HIVE Neighbourhood Hub and the Ridge Meadows Early Years Centre amongst others. The Fraser River Indigenous Society (FRIS) endeavours to engage the Ridge Meadows community through programs, services, and events. As our capacity to diversified funding grows, we increase our ability to provide the community with different and effective ways of engagement, supporting a better understanding of Indigenous cultures.
